Dentist Tirador Arrested

It was reported that the sex fiends targeting dentists were arrested by police.

MANILA, Philippines 08/28/2011 3:07 PM – Two suspects who prey on female dentists have been arrested by authorities.

In a report from dzMM’s Ricky Velasco, the main suspect, Albert dela Cruz, was positively identified by his victims.

Police were able to apprehend him on Sunday morning at his home in San Fernando, Pampanga. His hideout was revealed by one of his cohorts, Ronald Policarpio, who was arrested last Wednesday.

Both were presented to the media this afternoon by the National Capital Region Police Office.

NCRPO Chief Superintendent Alan Purisima said dela Cruz, who hides by the name Alvin, Alex, among others, tried to evade arrest by wielding a balisong (butterfly knife) and a tear gas against the authorities.

Purisima said police are still on the lookout for several more suspects with the same modus operandi.

The suspects have gained notoriety after preying on female dentists in different parts of the country.

Some 23 dentists and assistants have become victims of either robbery, sexual molestation or both since August last year. Most of them are from Quezon City (13), while the others are from other parts of Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
